What is the difference Between a German Shepherd Assistance dog and medical service dogs?

Medical service dog and a medical assistance dog are the same thing, however a therapy dog is not. A therapy dog is not entitled to the same benefits as a medical service/assistance dog.


Why were German Shepherd's Originally Bred?

German Shepherds require all of the same vaccinations and preventatives as any other breed.  They are not any more prone to specific diseases than any other large breed.  As most large breeds may encounter growing issues such as Panosteitis, Osteochondritis or hip or elbow dysplasia, so can the German Shepherd.
