OUR FUTURE MEDICAL SERVICE DOGS

We are sure you will fall in love with the dogs below as you follow their progress.  Over the next few months, we will come to know what jobs each dog will be best suited for.  Some will be perfect for mobility, others for those with mental disabilities, some for adults and others with children, etc.  If your application has been accepted and you are currently on our waiting list for one of our wonderful service companions, we hope you will enjoy watching their progress.  Once we feel one of these beautiful puppies is going to best match your needs, we will invite you to come and meet your future service dog.  If it appears to be a good match, we will then begin his/her customized training for you.  If you have not yet applied and have need for a service dog, please contact us at 352-425-1981.

Drake, CGC

Drake is 14 weeks old in this picture.  Already he is totally potty trained, crate trained, has house manners and is learning his basic obedience commands.  He is extremely loving, quick to learn and loves to please.  Drake is going to be a big dog and will   probably be well suited as a mobility assistance dog.  He has a very calm nature and depending on what his future training shows us, may even be a candidate for someone with mental disabilities as well.

Shilo, CGC

Pictured here at 16 weeks, Shilo is happy, super sweet and affectionate.  She is very attentive and eager to please.  She is potty trained, crate trained, has good house manners and already knows all of her basic obedience commands.  She will begin training for mobility, retrieving dropped items and possibly for the hearing impaired.  She has tons of personality, but is not overbearing so she could also train for the mentally disabled.  Her happy attitude is contagious!

Brecker, CGC

DOB: 4-3-09

Brecker is very special and will be missed when he goes to fulfill his destiny of helping others.  He is our loving, obedient and charming clown (seen to the left taking his food dish to the kitchen).  He takes life on with a constant smile in his spirit.  Brecker is already completely house trained, crate trained, has all of his basic obedience and has begun his public socialization.  He is unfazed by screaming children, rumbling carts, elevators, crowds, traveling, or whatever else comes his way.  He is a perfect gentleman in stores, restaurants, etc.  He is currently training as a mobility dog and understands to take stairs and inclines one step at a time.  He has no problem with someone leaning on him to perform these tasks.  Next, he will learn to turn on lights and retrieve dropped items.  He loves to sleep in bed and cuddle. He has also developed his own game to play for those that are wheelchair bound. He will also be great for those with mental disabilities.

Wilson

Wilson is a beautiful sable male with an amazingly stable, calm and loving temperament. Wilson will be perfect as an emotional support dog, thus his name "Wilson" after the soccor ball that was the emotional support for Tom Hanks in the movie "Castaways". His name is perfect for his personality, but he has so much more to offer than just a soccor ball!
